Rocky Knob Property Owners' Association (POA)
Rocky Knob Property Owners' Association is a 92-acre residential community located in Watauga County about 5 miles from the center of Banner Elk, NC. The non-profit POA oversees the maintenance of the common areas, provides architectural review functions, and administers the routine business affairs.

Architectural Review Board (ARB)
The ARB approves or disapproves plans. It takes into consideration the overall nature of Rocky Knob; the aesthetics of the proposed construction; changes or alterations; the harmony of the proposed change or erection with the architectural style of neighboring buildings; colors; and, the protection of the investment of the owners of other lots in the subdivision. From Banner Elk, take NC 194 towards Valle Crucis, turn left on Gualtney Rd, and then left onto Shawnee Rd for a scenic 3 mile drive to the entrance.
